The basic steps and requirements of the wire rope pulling method for cantilevered I-beams, as well as the specific operating details of the wire rope pulling method

2025-01-14

(A) Basic steps and requirements for cantilever I-beam wire rope pulling method:

(1) Preparation: Select a suitable I-beam and ensure that its quality meets the requirements. One end of the I-beam is placed on the structural beam, and the other end is connected to the structural beam or wall after being pulled diagonally with a wire rope.

(2) Pre-reserved holes: If the I-beam and wire rope need to pass through the shear wall around the floor, holes should be reserved in advance. The size and position of the holes should be determined according to specific design requirements.

(3) Install the lifting ring: The lifting ring for the diagonal wire rope is embedded in the floor side beam or external wall. It is made of Φ20 round steel, buried in the structure to a depth of not less than 35d, and hooked on the structural steel bar.

(4) Connect the wire rope: Use CO-type basket bolts to connect the wire rope and tighten it, and use 4 U-shaped wire rope clamps and a safety bend to fix the wire rope. Ensure that the wire rope clamp seat is buckled on the working section of the wire rope, the U-bolt is buckled on the tail section of the wire rope, and the wire rope clamp is tightened evenly with a plate. ‌

(5) Inspection and adjustment‌: After fixing the wire rope, slowly loosen the tower crane sling, carefully check whether the force of the wire rope and the lifting ring is well connected, whether there is any omission or looseness, and then fix the anchor ring after the force is evenly applied without deformation.

(B) Specific operation details of the cantilever I-beam wire rope pulling method:

‌(1) Fix the wire rope‌:

The strength of the fixing point should be at least 80% of the strength of the wire rope itself.

The rope clamp closest to the ring should be as close to the ring as possible.

When tightening the rope clamp, consider the reasonable force of each rope clamp, and the rope clamp farthest from the ring should not be tightened separately first.

(2) Install the safety wire rope‌:

After fixing the main force wire rope, install the safety wire rope in the same way.

The safety wire rope should be tensioned and basically not subjected to tension.

(3) Inspection and maintenance: The cantilever unloading platform should be designed according to the current relevant specifications, and its structure should be able to prevent left and right shaking.

Before the platform is put into use each time, the steel beams, welds and protective facilities should be inspected. If the steel wire rope is found to be rusted and damaged, it should be replaced in time, and the weld should be repaired in time.
